Rocking chair made entirely of wood : 2 mm

Thin strips are cut with a scapel, the measurements were made by eye because there are no measuring tools of this size, the difficulty of this work is to respect the symmetry and the straightness of the work without destroy everything.

Wood is a material which is very friable because it is fibrous, under the microscope it looks a bit like a fabric full of holes; on this scale, the scapel often carries everything in its path.

So there are a lot of trials.

Gluing 2 pieces together is difficult, because the pieces fly away, you have to hold them as best you can, and often, you glue badly, and therefore you have to start cutting again, measuring, and so on .... a long path before completing this piece.
