Dance with me

A micro scene of 2 puppets dancing lindy hop on a stage

Dance with me

the puppets (between 3 & 4 mm)
the gramophone measures 2.5 mm
the streetlamp  measures 13 mm.
The puppets are made of graphite and brush hairs. The streetlamp is made of silver nail, the carpet is made of ultra fine sandpaper.
The table , the gramophone are made of wood and graphite.
The paint is watercolor.
I decided to make a happy and lively scene illustrating 2 puppets, Kermit, the frog and Peggy his girlfriend.
Dance with me is a dollhouse scene, which for me represents the carefree childhood relayed by the intrinsic humor of these two characters.
Ballroom dancing, the gramophone, puppets refer to the joy of live performance.
The nostalgia of the 70s mixed with the years with this televised muppet show, mixed with this lindy hop dance of the 20s, which allows improvisation, and an outlet for the difficulties of life.
This micro sculpted scene is resolutely a hymn to life, love and freedom.
